Minister (s) Ximena Fuentes meets with EITI International Board Chair, Helen Clark
Foreign Affairs Minister (s), Ximena Fuentes, met with the Chair of the International Board of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) and former Prime Minister of New Zealand, Helen Clark. The meeting was also attended by the Undersecretary of International Economic Relations, José Miguel Ahumada; the executive director of EITI, Mark Robinson, and the director for Latin America and the Caribbean of this programme, Francisco Paris.
At the meeting, they discussed global issues related to energy transition and the main challenges for sustainable development.
EITI was founded in 2003 to promote knowledge on natural resource management, strengthen governance and accountability in the public and corporate spheres, and provide evidence to inform policy making and multi-stakeholder dialogue in the extractive sector.
