President Piñera appoints Chile's Ambassador to Kenya

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Ampuero, informed that the President of the Republic, Sebastián Piñera, has appointed María Alejandra Guerra Ferraz de Andrade as Chilean Ambassador in Kenya.

The Ambassador is a lawyer from the University of Chile and a career diplomat, graduated from the Andrés Bello Diplomatic Academy.

Ambassador Guerra currently serves as Director of European Affairs.

In the foreign service, she has served as Consul, in charge of political, administrative, economic and cultural issues at the Consulate General in Barcelona and at the Chilean Embassies in the Czech Republic, Malaysia and Portugal.

Her last assignment abroad was as Deputy Permanent Representative of Chile to the United Nations Agencies in Rome (FAO, WFP and IFAD).

In Chile, she worked in the Directorate of Human Rights, in the Directorate of Environment and Maritime Affairs, in the General Directorate of Ceremonial and Protocol and in the Directorate of Legal Affairs.
