Foreign Affairs Minister Alberto van Klaveren made a visit to Buenos Aires, where he held a work meeting with his counterpart from Argentina, Diana Mondino, in the context of the 40th anniversary of the Treaty of Peace and Friendship signed by both nations in November 1984, a fundamental milestone and cornerstone of the bilateral relationship.
During the meeting, the authorities discussed preparations for the commemoration of the treaty and also spoke about various cooperation issues, such as border facilitation and optimization, Antarctic cooperation, energy integration, trade relations and regional affairs.
“With Foreign Affairs Minister Diana Mondino, we discussed mutual cooperation and the main opportunities we have as neighboring countries. Thank you very much for your willingness to further strengthen the historic relationship between our two countries,” said Minister van Klaveren.
In addition to holding a bilateral meeting, Minister Mondino and Minister van Klaveren held an extended meeting with their delegations.
