Minister Alberto van Klaveren participates in discussion on the challenges for Chile and the region with OAS Secretary General

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alberto van Klaveren, with the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, participated today in the discussion "Global Dialogues: Challenges and Opportunities for Chile and the Americas", organized by the Universidad Andrés Bello.

In the activity, the Minister highlighted the relevance of multilateral instances to face the challenges that Chile shares with the rest of the region and other nations of the world. In this sense, based on his experience as a diplomat and Minister of Foreign Affairs, van Klaveren underlined the role played by the OAS and referred to the importance of international coordination to face the challenges of Latin America, such as transnational organized crime.
