Foreign Affairs Minister, Alberto van Klaveren, held today, in Washington D.C., a meeting with the U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, with whom he reviewed the relationship between the two countries, which this year commemorates its bicentennial.
After the meeting, the minister said that "we talked about the approval of the agreement to avoid double taxation, as well as the Visa Waiver Program. We expressed our strong interest in maintaining this program".
On the other hand, they discussed regional and global issues with a view to continue promoting actions to face common challenges. "It was a very friendly, very warm dialogue, which in some way underlines the good relationship between Chile and the United States and the appreciation and respect that exists for our country," said the Foreign Affairs Minister.
