Minister accompanies President Boric in meeting with Paraguayan President and signs joint documents
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alberto van Klaveren, joined the President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric, in the extended meeting held with the President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña, in the context of his official visit to Chile.
During the meeting, held at the Palacio de La Moneda and coinciding with the 180th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two States, various issues relevant to the bilateral agenda were discussed, such as integration initiatives, trade and economy, among others.
After the meeting, the Foreign Affairs Minister and his Paraguayan counterpart, Rubén Ramírez, signed the Simore Plus memorandum of understanding, an online platform of public access, which allows the systematization, monitoring and coordination of actions in the compliance and implementation of commitments and recommendations on human rights, from both the Universal System and the Inter-American System.
In addition, they signed a joint declaration on behalf of both Presidents, which contains the key points of the agenda in which the progress made in the bilateral relationship and the coincidences that both countries have.
