Foreign Affairs Minister Alberto van Klaveren welcomed the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam upon his arrival in Chile

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alberto van Klaveren, welcomed at the Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Luong Cuong, who arrived in Chile for an official visit.

This Monday, the Vietnamese President will be greeted at La Moneda Palace by the President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric, to strengthen political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries.

Vietnam is Chile's main trading partner among the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) and ranks 20th globally. Both countries signed a Free Trade Agreement in 2011, which came into force in 2014.
