Foreign Minister Heraldo Muñoz announces dates of oral arguments in the case of obligation to negotiate
Foreign Minister Heraldo Muñoz announced that the International Court of Justice in The Hague has notified Chile and Bolivia regarding the dates on which oral pleadings in the Bolivian lawsuit called an obligation to negotiate will be made.
The minister informed that this process will take place between the 19th and 28th of March, 2018. In this regard, the Chancellor said: "It gives us great peace of mind because we have been working on the preparation of oral arguments since we presented the rejoinder in September 2017".
In addition to this, the Secretary of State said that next January 21 and 22 there will be a meeting between national and international lawyers in Paris, who are working on this case. "We will attend the oral arguments calmly and very well prepared", concluded Minister Muñoz.
