The Minister of Foreign Affairs (s), Carolina Valdivia, joined President Sebastián Piñera in a meeting with the President of French Polynesia, Édouard Fritch, who is visiting our country to discuss environmental issues, tourism and other areas of interest to Chile and the overseas community of the French Republic.
President Fritch has scheduled activities with various Chilean authorities to strengthen ties between Chile and French Polynesia.
Chile and French Polynesia have a history of particular ties in the context of Oceania, as a result of air links between Santiago and Papeete dating back to 1967.
