Chancellor Ribera holds virtual meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teodoro Ribera, held a virtual meeting today with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to explore the broadening and deepening of the bilateral agenda initiated during his trip to that country in January 2020, taking into account the challenges in terms of coordination and cooperation, both bilateral and multilateral, given the current pandemic.
In this context, both authorities stressed the need to carry out a joint work regarding its control, the economic and social effects that it implies and the efforts that should be carried out in terms of strengthening bilateral exchange in economic-commercial, investment, science and technology, social and cultural areas, in order to create opportunities for the private sector, with a view to the recovery of our countries in the post-pandemic phase.
Likewise, the Minister of Foreign Affairs thanked the Minister of the United Arab Emirates for the political and solidarity gesture represented by his Government's donation to Chile, consisting of 8.5 tons of medical and health supplies to help combat the Covid-19, valued at 500 million pesos and which arrived last Friday at the Arturo Merino Benítez Airport.
