Press Release

Monday, December 17, 2018

The Consular General Direction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that it sent this Monday, December 17, a circular to all Chilean consulates abroad, recalling the current rules on requirements for applying for a visa to enter our country.

In the circular, consulates are reminded that the only certificates requested are:

  • Criminal Background.
  • Medical Certificate indicating that you do not suffer from contagious infectious diseases.

Regarding any situation regarding applications for HIV tests as a requirement for processing a visa, the Consular General Directorate points out that this is a regrettable error that should not be repeated in the future.
