President Piñera appoints ambassador to Uruguay

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Ampuero, informed that the President of the Republic, Sebastián Piñera, has appointed Iris Boeninger as Ambassador of Chile in Uruguay, who has already received the respective agreement.

Ambassador Boeninger is an economist with extensive experience in international relations. She holds a degree in Corporate Governance from Harvard Business School, IESE in Barcelona, and studies at the WTO and other institutions.

She has held executive positions in both the private and public sectors. She also worked as a consultant for the United Nations System (UNDP ECLAC).

She has held various positions as representative of ProChile in Argentina, becoming Director of this agency in that country, responsible for bilateral economic and trade issues, including agricultural issues.

She served as Director in Executive Search and in the boards of Banco Estado and ENEL Distribución Chile.
