Chile wins award for best adventure tourism destination in the world
For the third year in a row, our country was awarded in the World Travel Awards (WTA) as the Best Adventure Tourism Destination in the World, during the official ceremony that took place last Saturday December 1 in Lisbon, Portugal.
The event was attended, on behalf of our country, by the Ambassador of Chile in Portugal, Pedro Pablo Diaz, who received the award from the hands of the President of the WTA, Graham Cooke, in a gala that brought together numerous public and private actors in the area of tourism.
Upon receiving the award, the Ambassador expressed that "we Chileans feel very proud to receive this distinction again, which along with highlighting the different places of our country as the south, with its lakes and volcanoes, or the north with the most transparent skies in the world, recognizes Chile as a country with world-class adventure tourism".
Likewise, he added that "although we are blessed by nature, the most important thing about Chile is its people, kind and affectionate with visitors".
