The Government of Chile has expressed its great concern to the Israeli Embassy in Chile about the case of Palestinian citizen Ahed Tamimi, a 17-year-old minor, who is being detained and prosecuted by an Israeli military tribunal on the charge of incitement to violence.
Faced with this unfortunate situation affecting a minor, the Chilean government reiterated the need for Israel's representation to fully respect the rights of the Palestinian minor, with the guarantees of due process and that the judicial authority properly ponder the circumstances and area of tension in which the events that initiated this inquiry took place.
The Chilean Government is expecting the early release of Ahed Tamimi.
