Chancellor Muñoz meets with his successor

Foreign Minister Heraldo Muñoz met this afternoon with his successor Roberto Ampuero to coordinate the transfer of this Secretary of State.

During the meeting, which took place in the office of the Head of Chilean Diplomacy and lasted for nearly three hours, they discussed various matters related to our country's foreign policy, such as neighbourhood, regional and multilateral relations. In addition, the Chancellor provided information regarding the oral phase of the arguments in The Hague for the trial of Bolivia's maritime claim. On the occasion, he also extended the invitation to the future authority to accompany him at the next meeting with the legal team to be held in Paris.

At the end of the meeting, the Foreign Minister appointed thanked Minister Muñoz for his willingness to share his knowledge and experience, while stressing that in Chile foreign policy is a State policy and that, in this sense, it speaks with one voice.
