Chancellor Ampuero met with former President Ricardo Lagos

Foreign Minister Roberto Ampuero met with former President Ricardo Lagos. At the meeting, they exchanged views on international politics, discussing Chile's relations with its neighbours and the country's ties with Asia, among other issues.

"This is, since I assumed, the third meeting we have had. I have also spoken with the other former presidents of the Republic," said the Secretary of State, adding that "for me as Chancellor it is very important to visit them, to consult them on some matters, to learn from their experience, because Chile has a foreign policy that is a State policy and, in this sense, the different visions, the different experiences of the Chilean leaders are very useful to this Chancellor in terms of international policy".
