Friday, November 30, 2018

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Ampuero arrived today in Mexico where he will participate, in representation of the President of the Republic, Sebastián Piñera, in the change of command where Andrés Manuel López Obrador will assume power from the hands of Enrique Peña Nieto.

Subsequently, the Chancellor will move to the United States. His first stop will be Miami, where he will participate in the ProChile Innovation Summit, which will be held on December 3 and 4. This is the first innovation summit organized by ProChile in the United States, an activity that represents the seal of the new ProChile 3.0, promoted by President Piñera. Its objective is to connect national companies with the main actors of entrepreneurship and innovation in Miami, so they can know the essential aspects to expand their business in a key market like the United States; discover how has been the path to success of entrepreneurs who are now recognized worldwide, and connect with U.S. investors.

The Secretary of State will then continue his tour in Washington DC where he will meet with Undersecretary of State John Sullivan, National Security Council Director of Western Hemisphere Affairs, Mauricio Claver-Carone, and Senator Marcos Rubio.
