Minister Ampuero meets with Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates

On Wednesday, Minister Roberto Ampuero met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who made an official visit to Chile.

Both authorities reviewed a series of issues on the bilateral agenda and were able to see the progressive strengthening of relations between Chile and the United Arab Emirates.

Chile's participation in the international fair EXPO DUBAI 2020 was announced at the same time as the agreement reached in the negotiation for the signing of a customs cooperation agreement and the significant progress made on a memorandum of understanding on economic cooperation. These initiatives are framed in the interest of both countries to expand and strengthen their economic trade relations.

Minister Roberto Ampuero reiterated Chile's gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for its generous contribution on the occasion of the major forest fires that affected our country in 2017.
