Sentencia Corte IDH caso "Norin Catrimán y otros vs. Chile"
In the context of the State visit of the President of the Republic, Sebastián Piñera, to the People's Republic of China, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Ampuero, signed two agreements with this country that will allow continuing strengthening the relations between both nations.
The first one is the Joint Action Plan for 2019-2022, which seeks to strategically plan the promotion of bilateral relations, articulate development strategies and promote development and cooperation.
This agreement covers 14 areas: politics; economic-commercial; energy; agriculture; customs; transport and telecommunications; education; science, technology, and innovation; astronomy; space; culture and tourism; geology and mining; maritime and Antarctic; and emergency management.
The second agreement is a Memorandum of Understanding on Trade Defence, to achieve the best mutual understanding of laws, regulations, and practices, as well as technical assistance between the parties.
They also signed a protocol for the export of pears from Chile to China.
Previously, the Secretary of State participated in the bilateral meeting between President Sebastián Piñera and the President of China, Xi Jinping.
The day continued with a meeting with the Chinese Prime Minister, Li Keqiang, and with the President of the National People's Assembly, Li Zhanshu.
