Undersecretary Riveros meets with Secretary General of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History

The Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, Edgardo Riveros, met with the Secretary General of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History (PAIGH) at the Organization of American States, Rodrigo Barriga, accompanied by the Deputy Director General for Global and Multilateral Affairs of this Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Pedro Oyarce.

The PAIGH is an international, scientific and technical agency created in 1928 during the Sixth International Conference of American States at a ministerial level, held in Habana, Cuba.

On the occasion, Undersecretary Riveros underlined the significant contribution made by this institution in knowledge creation and its transfer to the countries in our region in crucial areas for our territorial development such as cartography, geography and geophysics, among other scientific fields.

For his part, the Secretary General of the PAIGH highlighted and appreciated the ongoing support provided by our country and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the work developed by his organization.
