The governments of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay and Peru believe that the Regional Elections that will take place on the coming October 15 in Venezuela, to elect governors, must take place within a framework of full respect for the Constitution and the Organic Law of Electoral Processes of that country.

They call on the Venezuelan government and the National Electoral Council to act within the framework of their functions, with total transparency, impartiality and objectivity, as well as to guarantee the free participation of all candidates, including the right to replace them in accordance with the law, and that this process is carried out with full respect for the free, secret, effective and universal vote, with the presence of international observers, which will allow the results of this process to be a faithful reflection of the popular will and to preserve the required legitimacy.

Finally, they call for the Venezuelan people to be able to exercise their citizens' rights and vote on October 15 in elections that are conducted without interference and peacefully throughout the country.
