The Government of Chile expresses its concern at the public accusations made by several magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice of Venezuela concerning raids on the residences of their relatives living in that country.

One such complaint was made by Judge Elenis del Valle Rodríguez, who was granted political asylum in Chile in October 2017, after having found refuge in the Embassy of Chile in Venezuela, together with other members of the Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice.

The Government of Chile once again urges the Government of Venezuela to respect the human rights of all Venezuelans.
