The Chilean government strongly condemns the attacks that took place on Thursday August 11 and Friday August 12 and which caused numerous casualties and injuries in the following southern Thailand locations: Hua Hin, Surat Thani, Patong (Phuket Island), Trang, and Phang Nga.

It also extends its heartfelt condolences to the people and government of Thailand, as well as its solidarity to the families of the victims, both Thai and foreign. It wishes to reaffirm once again its total and categorical rejection of any manifestation of terrorism.
