Symposium "Educational Reform in Chile and French Experience" was held in Paris on November 5, 6 and 7. The activity was attended by the Minister of Education, Nicolás Eyzaguirre, accompanied by a delegation from that State Department.
During those days Minister Eyzaguirre developed a comprehensive program of meetings with intellectuals, politicians, educational experts and senior officials from the French Ministry of Education and UNESCO, with more than 45 meetings with various stakeholders in nine activities. Note should be taken that the meeting with the Minister of National Education, Higher Education and Research, Ms. Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, with whom they discussed on educational system reform processes both in Chile and France.
The symposium concluded with a panel discussion "The reform of education in Chile, perspectives and contributions from the French experience", held at the Embassy of Chile in France. On that occasion, Minister Eyzaguirre, along with OECD experts and France discussed - in three panels - on topics relevant to the reform process in Chile through comparison of experiences and exposition from the theoretical point of view.
