Foreign Minister welcomed Argentinian President, Mauricio Macri, on his arrival to Chile

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Heraldo Muñoz, welcomed Argentinian President, Mauricio Macri, in Santiago's Airport during his official visit. After his arrival the Head of State payed a visit to the Congress in Santiago, where he met with the President of the Senate, Andrés Zaldivar, and the President of the House of Representatives, Fidel Espinoza.

After that, Minister Muñoz accompanied President Michelle Bachelet during the private audience she had at La Moneda with the Argentinian President and in the meeting that followed with delegations from both countries.

Afterwards, the Minister attended the signing ceremony where both the Argentinian Government and the Argentinian-Chilean Binational Entity signed the project of the "International Tunnel Agua Negra"

After the signing of the document, the dignitaries made a joint statement where President Bachelet appraised the relationship between both countries. "Our history and our present are clear examples of our joint efforts to develop bilateral and regional integration, which can bring opportunities of growth to our people".

By end of President Macri's activities in our country, Minister Muñoz stressed the fact that "the bilateral relation is in an excellent place. We have come a long way in the past year and a half, having in consideration the lack of progress that had had during a long period of time. We are very happy with the improvements made and look forward to everything we still have to do."
