Foreign Minister Roberto Ampuero inaugurates new PDI office in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Ampuero, today inaugurated the new facilities of the PDI inside the Chancellery building, where the officers and liaison officers are located. Together with the Secretary of State, the Director General of the Investigative Police, Héctor Espinoza Valenzuela, participated in the ceremony.

During the ceremony, the Minister expressed his appreciation for the close cooperation and coordination between the Chancellery and the PDI, which has been going on for more than four decades. Thus, he highlighted the security support provided in different Chilean consulates abroad.

In addition, the Chancellor presented Director Espinoza with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Medal in recognition of the day-to-day work of the institution he leads.

At the end of his speech, the Chancellor expressed "our willingness to continue to increase the joint work between this Chancellery and the PDI, which has demonstrated its usefulness and efficiency over the years".
