Foreign Minister Ampuero meets Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister

Foreign Minister Roberto Ampuero met today with Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister, Hue Vuong Dingh. During the meeting, both authorities addressed the main aspects of the bilateral relationship.

The Deputy Prime Minister is in Chile on a tour that includes the United States and Brazil. During his stay he will lead an investment promotion seminar.

The relationship with Vietnam is characterized by political closeness and economic integration between the two nations. At the political level, the exchange of visits has been at the highest level, and since 2003 all presidents have visited the country. Economic trade is based on the FTA in force since 2014, which will be promoted by the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), signed by both countries.
