Monday, July 9, 2018

Chile signed important agreements with Costa Rica and Panama during the first official visit of the President of the Republic, Sebastián Piñera, to both countries, accompanied by Foreign Minister Roberto Ampuero.

In Costa Rica, Minister Ampuero accompanied the President in his meeting with President Carlos Alvarado, after which he signed two agreements on behalf of our country: one on cooperation in environmental matters and one to promote and consolidate the exchange of initiatives and experiences in the area of effective equality and gender equity and women's economic autonomy.

They later moved to Panama where, after accompanying President Piñera in his bilateral with President Juan Carlos Varela, he signed an agreement on productive linkages and one on humanitarian assistance.

The visit to Panama continues tomorrow with the attendance to the closing ceremony of the Velas Latinoamérica Program, in which the Esmeralda School Ship participates.
