This afternoon, the KC 135 of the Chilean Air Force arrived at Ixtepec, in the State of Oaxaca, with 11 tons of humanitarian aid, consisting of two thousand blankets, three thousand tents for four people and 130 mattresses. The contribution was sent by the Government and the people of Chile to the Mexican brothers following the violent 8.2 earthquake that affected the states of Oaxaca and Chiapas, in the south of the country, on September 7.

The aircraft was received at Ixtepec Air Base by the Governor of the State of Oaxaca, Alejandro Murat, who expressed special thanks for this contribution from Chile, which will directly benefit one of the most affected areas of the country.

Governor Murat, Ambassador Víctor Hugo Morales, South American Director of the Mexican Foreign Ministry and Councillor Fernando Velasco, representing the Embassy of Chile in Mexico, were also present.
