Chile condemns attack on presidential candidate in Brazil

The Government of Chile strongly condemns the attack perpetrated on Thursday against the candidate for President of the Republic of Brazil by the Social Liberal Party, Jair Bolsonaro, during an electoral act in the state of Minas Gerais.

Furthermore, the Government of Chile expresses its solidarity with the Brazilian Government and people in the face of this act of violence and expresses its conviction that episodes such as this do not tarnish the impeccable tradition of democratic elections in Brazil.
