The Minister of Foreign Affairs (S), Edgardo Riveros, held an audience with the Mexican Undersecretary for Latin America and the Caribbean, of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Luis Alfonso de Alba Góngora. During the meeting, the authorities gave an account of the broad common agenda between the two countries and highlighted the excellent state of bilateral relations.
In particular, Foreign Minister (S) Riveros reiterated the willingness of the Chilean government to contribute to the post-earthquake reconstruction process carried out by the Mexican government following the tragedies that occurred on September 7 and 19. Undersecretary de Alba thanked the constant expressions of support from the highest Chilean authorities and its specialized agencies, taking into account the experience of our country in these matters.
Finally, together with addressing issues of bilateral interest, they highlighted the coincidences between Chile and Mexico in Regional Affairs, as well as the common will to strengthen integration in organizations such as CELAC, ALADI and the Pacific Alliance.
