Today the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Ampuero, arrived at the National Congress in Mexico City to participate in the change of command ceremony between Enrique Peña Nieto and Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
During the day, Chancellor Ampuero had the opportunity to talk with his peers from Colombia, Carlos Holmes Trujillo; Ecuador, José Valencia; Spain, Josep Borrell; and Peru, Nestor Popolizio. With the Foreign Minister of Colombia, they discussed the regional situation, while with their Peruvian counterpart, they discussed the strengthening of the Pacific Alliance. Meanwhile, they agreed with the Minister of Ecuador on the analysis of the regional situation and the good moment of the bilateral relationship.
The Secretary of State also met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco, Habib El Malki, with whom he highlighted the good relations between the two countries.
Subsequently, Minister Ampuero participated in the lunch hosted by the new President of Mexico at the National Palace.
