Statement by the Government of Chile
The Government of Chile regrets and condemns the situation to which the President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Mr. Evo Morales Ayma, was exposed to while returning by plane from Russia to his country.
Chile confirms the need to respect the rules of international law and the treatment that should be given to the airplane of a Head of State when faced with these situations.
Notwithstanding that Chile supports and participates in the issuing of a Unasur statement in this regard, our country urges those responsible to clarify what happened.
