The Government of Chile extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and those affected by the earthquake that struck Mexico this afternoon and expresses its solidarity with the Mexican Government.
The Government of Chile expresses its readiness to materialize, as soon as possible, the cooperation already offered in response to the earthquake that affected the southern part of the country last week, and, in the face of this new tragedy, reiterates its commitment to contributing to an early recovery of the affected areas.
The General Consulate of Chile in Mexico has reported that, so far, no victims or affected families have been registered among nationals residing in the affected areas. However, the situation will continue to be monitored and reported in due course.
