Acting Undersecretary Alfredo Labbé received the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria, Dorothea Auer, in audience on the occasion of the ending of her mission four years after arriving to Chile.
During the meeting, both leaders highlighted the high quality of their countries´ bilateral relationship, placing particular emphasis on the cultural realm, where Austria has played a significant role internationally.
Later in the day, Ambassador Auer was awarded the Chilean Order of Merit medal at the Grand Cross level, a distinction that the Chilean government delivers to those who have provided outstanding services to the country.
Subsequently, Acting Undersecretary Labbé hosted a luncheon in honor of Ambassador Auer, which was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, directors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and special guests.
